Hillsboro Community Hospital is looking for a Dietary Aid/Prep Cook to add to our team.
Hillsboro Community Hospital is an 8 bed critical access hospital. We pride ourselves on providing top quality care for Hillsboro and all of Marion County. Services include diagnostic and therapeutic services, 24 hour emergency care, outpatient surgical procedures, convenient and specialized outpatient resources, pharmaceutical services and other services designed to improve the health and well being of our community.
The Dietary Aid/Prep Cook works under the guidance of the Dietary Manager. The ideal candidate will be perceptive, friendly, and have a desire to provide the exceptional care that the patients in our community deserve.
What You Bring/Job Requirements:
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in al units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Food Handlers Card preferred but not required
- One to three months of experience preferred
Physical Requirements - Medium Work - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
