Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle components including powertrain systems, transmissions, diesel engines, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements to ensure vehicle longevity.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs efficiently and safely.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems.
- Repair or replace vehicle parts with precision, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and suspension components.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or automotive service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Solid mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working on GM vehicles or similar makes.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration, vehicle alignment procedures, and schematic interpretation.
- Experience working with diesel engines, powertrain components, transmissions, and automotive electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Valid mechanic license or certification preferred; ongoing training in automotive technology is a plus.
