Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to deliver equipment efficiently. Your expertise in heavy lifting, load and unload procedures, and mechanical knowledge will ensure smooth operations and exceptional service delivery. Duties
- Safely operate a flatbeds to transport goods and materials.
- Load and unload Equipment using manual or mechanical methods, ensuring secure placement for transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks when necessary, utilizing mechanical aids or manual effort as appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and pickups efficiently.
Skills
- Valid CDL license with clean driving record and experience operating manual transmission vehicles.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and vehicle inspections.
- Strong understanding of load securing techniques and safety protocols for heavy lifting.
- Proven ability in delivery driving with excellent navigation skills and route planning.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and extended periods of driving or standing.
