Summary: Goodrich Area Schools is seeking a full-time elementary teacher who is passionate about teaching all children and working in a collaborative environment with an amazing team of educators.
Qualifications and Requirements

Must have a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.

Must meet highly qualified status for Every Student Succeeds Act.

Experience with standards based teaching, grading and rubric scoring desired.

Strong collaborative skills are critical. Experience with PLCs is desirable.

The ability to thrive in a team-centered environment.

A child-centered, whole child approach to teaching and learning is preferred.

A self-directed thinker and problem solver.
Essential Functions and Representative Duties

Knowledge about Common Core State Standards is essential.

Experience in research based instructional strategies, best practices.

Experience with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, whole-child and cooperative learning programs.

Demonstrated ability to integrate subject-based content into the core content areas of Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.

Familiarity with Literacy Footprints, Reading and Writing Workshop Approaches and Bridges in Mathematics.
Work Environment
Work is performed at Reid Elementary School and may include other facilities of the district when necessary. There is limited exposure to physical risk.
