Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Write detailed repair orders using estimating software, accurately documenting vehicle issues and recommended services
- Communicate effectively with technicians regarding diagnostics, repairs, and estimated timeframes
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, and diesel engine repairs to maximize customer value
- Manage customer inquiries about vehicle diagnostics, collision repair estimates, and auto body repairs with professionalism and clarity
- Handle cash transactions and process payments securely while maintaining accurate records
- Coordinate with clients on scheduling appointments and follow-up to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
- They work closely with automotive technicians and mechanics to coordinate the necessary parts for vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring efficient workflow in the repair process
- Handle daily administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, managing incoming and outgoing mail, and maintaining both physical and digital filing systems to ensure accurate record-keeping and easy access to documents
Experience
- Previous dealership or auto service center experience as a Service Advisor or Service Writer preferred
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Strong understanding of automotive repair processes including oil changes, brake repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, wheel alignments, suspension work, tire service, diesel engine repair, and auto body collision repair
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
- Experience in auto sales or upselling services to enhance revenue streams is advantageous
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to facilitate client test drives or vehicle inspections
- Pay is based on experiance.
