MECHANIC FABRICATOR
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of hand and power tools and capable of fabricating simple sheet metal parts. This role involves working on a variety of mechanical and fabrication projects in a fast-paced workshop or field environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly and repairs as needed.
- Fabricate basic sheet metal components using shears, brakes, and other metalworking equipment.
- Use hand and power tools (grinders, drills, saws, etc.) to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or work orders to determine project specifications.
- Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines accurately on materials.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform routine maintenance on fabrication tools and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and project deadlines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical fabrication or a similar role.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and powered shop equipment.
- Basic knowledge of metal types and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to work from technical drawings or schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various physical positions (standing, bending, kneeling).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with MIG/TIG welding (a plus, but not required).
- Familiarity with CNC or automated fabrication tools.
- Forklift or overhead crane operation experience.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
Work Environment
- Shop-based work with occasional field assignments depending on project needs. - Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and metalworking materials.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
