Hours: Varied. This position requires availability Monday through Thursday beginning at 8:00 a.m. to attend daily house meetings. Additional work hours will vary based on resident needs, program operations, meetings, documentation, and assigned duties. This role also includes intermittent on-call availability to support residential program needs outside of regular scheduled hours.

Crosswinds Recovery is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing ASAM 2.1 Intensive Outpatient treatment and Level 4 NARR-certified recovery residences to individuals transitioning from addiction, incarceration, and inpatient care. POSITION SUMMARY
The Recovery Housing Coordinator (RHC) supports the daily functioning, stability, and quality of Crosswinds Recovery’s residential recovery homes. This position helps ensure that recovery residences remain structured, safe, supportive, and aligned with Crosswinds’ mission and program expectations.
This is a hybrid role that includes recovery housing coordination, resident support, peer support services, and case management services as assigned. The RHC works closely with residents, house managers, staff, and community partners to support residents in building recovery capital, maintaining housing stability, and progressing toward long-term recovery goals.
This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, organized, recovery-oriented, comfortable working directly with residents, and able to balance compassionate support with clear structure, accountability, and professional boundaries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recovery Housing Coordination
- Support the daily coordination and smooth operation of Crosswinds Recovery’s residential recovery homes.
- Attend daily house meetings, house manager meetings, treatment teams, admission staffing, staff training, education, and supervision as assigned.
- Build strong working relationships with house managers, residents, clinical staff, peer support staff, and leadership.
- Help residents understand and follow house expectations, schedules, community agreements, and recovery housing requirements.
- Support resident move-ins, transitions, room assignments, and other housing needs.
- Monitor house needs, supplies, facility concerns, and resident concerns, and communicate needs to appropriate staff.
Client Support, Case Management & Peer Support
- Meet with residents to assess physical, mental health, financial, recovery, and housing-related needs.
- Develop individualized plans to help residents work toward health, recovery, housing, employment, and independent living goals.
- Assist residents facing homelessness, substance use concerns, benefit barriers, housing instability, or other urgent needs.
- Connect residents with local resources, healthcare providers, government programs, housing assistance, vocational training, and other supportive services as needed.
- Assist with practical service needs, including transportation coordination, insurance paperwork, housing paperwork, identification documents, and benefit navigation.
- Use trauma-informed, person-centered, and recovery-oriented communication when supporting residents.
- Maintain working knowledge of support programs, eligibility requirements, and resident enrollment processes.
- Continue learning about local housing needs, housing resources, and practical housing solutions for residents.
Systems, Documentation & Compliance
- Manage resident-related documentation in Sobriety Hub, Kipu, and other Crosswinds systems as assigned.
- Keep accurate and timely records of client meetings, service contacts, referrals, care coordination, provider notes, incidents, and program progress.
- Track resident goals, service engagement, housing progress, treatment participation, and transition outcomes.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle protected information in accordance with HIPAA, organizational policy, and professional standards.
- Meet required documentation deadlines and communicate promptly with supervisors about resident needs, safety concerns, program concerns, or barriers to progress.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- This position is based primarily in Crosswinds Recovery’s residential homes, outpatient office, and community settings.
- Local travel between recovery residences and community partner locations may be required.
- Intermittent use of an insured personal vehicle will be required for work-related duties, including travel between Crosswinds locations, delivery of house supplies, coordination with community partners, and occasional client transportation as assigned.
- Employees must maintain a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and a driving record that supports safe and responsible transportation.
- Some evening or weekend availability may occasionally be required to support residential operations, resident needs, or urgent coordination.
- Ability to respond calmly and professionally to resident concerns, conflict, crisis situations, and changing program needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Experience in behavioral health, social services, residential programs, or related work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries.
- Ability to balance compassion, accountability, and consistency with residents.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication.
- Basic computer skills and experience with using Google Workspace tools such as GMail, Google Docs, Excel.
- Commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered, and recovery-oriented care.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, current auto insurance, and ability to safely use an insured personal vehicle for intermittent work-related travel and occasional client transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred
- Peer Support Specialist certification or willingness to pursue certification.
- Personal or professional experience with addiction recovery, recovery housing, justice involvement, behavioral health, or community-based support services.
- Experience providing case management, benefit navigation, housing support, employment readiness support, or community resource coordination.
- Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant documentation and confidentiality practices.
- Familiarity with recovery residence operations or structured sober living.
- Experience working with Sobriety Hub or Kipu Health platforms.
- Prior use of EMR/EHR systems, resident management platforms, or similar documentation systems.
