About the Role
We’re looking for a detail‑focused CMM Quality Inspector to join our team. In this role, you’ll ensure the accuracy and quality of manufactured parts through precise dimensional inspections using CMM equipment and other measuring tools. Your work plays a key role in maintaining our high standards and supporting complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to assure all documentation and materials are in accordance with customer requirements prior to the release for subsequent processing by vendors and/or shipment to the customer.
- Responsible for inspecting characteristics involved in specific operations using different gages whenever possible and practical. Inspections will be extended to the point where it can be determined that present operation has/will not affect prior or subsequent operations.
- Aids in maintaining traceability and established filing.
- Responsible to initial and date operations and/or dimensions inspected.
- Responsible for notifying Production Supervisors or Leads of deviations found in their operations.
- Maintains clear and concise instructions/programs of proper CMM inspection methods for specific part operations to ensure all CMM capable personnel follow the same guidelines.
- Responsible for using a secondary method for verifying deviations with the CMM when applicable.
- Responsible for tagging and segregating non-conforming material.
- Responsible for providing inspection forms when required and to perform inspections in a timely manner.
- Responsible for inspecting and documenting results on appropriate paperwork.
- Reports and tags any gages found needing repair.
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment within Midstate Machine.
- Maintains a professional and personable relationship with customers, vendors and Midstate Machine staff, being responsive to their needs as well as those of the company
- Displays and generates a “readiness to work” attitude with all employees.
- Performs other duties or functions as requested by the Quality Manager.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T, and dimensional inspection.
- Hands‑on experience with CMMs and precision measuring instruments.
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining and tooling processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in CNC manufacturing environments preferred.
- Must meet ITAR definition of US Person(s)
20% Shift Differential for Night Shift
Pay: Up to $26.00 per hour
