Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pool Hall and Game Room Assistant Manager to support our location in Shelbyville. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests. This role involves greeting customers and providing excellent customer service, running a cash register and daily promotions, and maintaining a clean, safe, and fun environment in the game room.
Duties
- Provide exceptional guest services by greeting visitors, answering questions, and addressing any concerns or complaints quickly.
- Manage and balance a cash register and take payment for snacks, game rentals, tournaments, and special promotions.
- Check to ensure game room, bathrooms, and store front is clean and games are all properly functioning. Escalate any questions or equipment issues you can not address directly to manager.
- Work with manager and other team members to plan and execute special events, parties, and promotions
Skills
- Strong hospitality skills with a focus on guest services.
- Fun, energetic, and outgoing personality and ability to interact positively with customers
- Experience in customer facing roles in retail, food service, or hospitality, and cash handling is preferred.
- Knowledge of pool/billiard, dart, and cornhole tournaments is desirable but not required
- Previous managerial and leadership experience is preferred
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
