Black Book is hiring Research Managers. This is an important, full-time position at Black Book Market Research, one which leads to specialized roles, including Project Management, Report Writing, Research Analysis, Market Analysis, Consulting Services, or Sales.
Responsibilities
Advise project teams on use of different survey research methods, questionnaire and sample designs
Program telephone and web surveys in our web based survey software.
Clean, format, and manage samples and large customer databases.
Test, monitor, and implement surveys with our telephone interviewing center as well as with web survey participants.
This position requires strong survey research skills and computer skills, including expert knowledge of Excel and proficiency in a statistical package such as SPSS or STATA. The candidate must have an understanding of survey statistics, strong analytical skills, be detailed-oriented, and able to work a fast paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility in survey research or related field and experience managing projects. This position is ideal for a self-starter looking for a position that has potential for significant career advancement. The position is available in our Clearwater/Tampa/St Petersburg FL-area office.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in social sciences or survey research and 5-7 years professional survey research experience. Candidates with bachelor's degrees will be considered with more extensive survey research work experience.
Work experience designing and managing large-scale survey projects.
Experience with telephone survey design and methodology including knowledge of cell phone sampling and industry best practices.
Experience with survey methodology and survey operations, such as questionnaire design, cognitive interviews, survey administration, and data analysis
Experience using survey platforms and/or javascript for forms development
Competency with Excel and experience with a statistical package (SPSS, SAS, R, STATA)
Candidates should have strong writing and interpersonal communication skills
Supervision, leadership, and team building skills
Experience estimating survey project costs
Ability to communicate effectively about survey methods and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to work as part of a team and oversee multiple tasks
Excellent oral and written communication skills
