Dental Assistant, Expanded Functions (EFDA) - Pediatric Dentistry

Responsibilities
- Greet and support patients and families before, during, and after appointments
- Take and process dental radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos
- Prepare and sterilize the treatment room and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance during treatment procedures, including expanded function duties
- Document dental care services by charting patient records
Qualifications
- Active license/registration to practice as a dental assistant, as required by your state
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification required
- 6+ months of experience as a dental assistant
- CPR or BLS certification
- Completion of a CODA accredited dental assisting program (preferred)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Organized with strong knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology
