ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN WANTED in Lake Isabella, California
Position: Associate Veterinarian (Full or Part time)
About us: We are a privately-owned small animal (canines and felines only) general practice located in the beautiful Kern River Valley! We have a close-knit, family-oriented team whose mission is to serve the people and animals of our community with kindness, compassion, and integrity, while positively impacting the lives of all those we encounter. Kern Veterinary Hospital is a Certified Low Stress Handling Facility, which means that over half of our staff has undergone extensive training pertaining to low stress veterinary care, and our entire team prioritizes our patients’ emotional health as well as their physical health.
Job Requirements:
⁃ DVM
⁃ Licensed in the state of California
⁃ New grads are welcome!
⁃ Must be either experienced in providing low stress veterinary care or willing to learn to practice low stress veterinary care
⁃ Strong, compassionate communication with clients and team
⁃ Willing to serve with kindness, compassion, and integrity
What You’ll Do:
⁃ Perform exams, diagnose, and treat patients for routine medical needs, as well as emergencies when necessary
⁃ Perform surgeries, including spays and neuters for canines and felines
⁃ Provide low stress veterinary care to every single patient
⁃ Build trusting, professional relationships with clients and their pets
⁃ Maintain medical records through our PMS
⁃ Collaborate with technicians, veterinary assistants, and other support staff
Compensation: This position is paid at 25% production on your personally generated gross revenue. So, whatever you produce in gross revenue (exams, blood work, etc.), you will be paid 25% of that total every pay period (which is every 2 weeks). We’re happy to walk through real production examples during the interview process!
Schedule & Hours: Our practice is open Monday-Friday from 8AM - 4:30PM. You’ll see appointments during those times, however, your start and end times for appointments are flexible. We are not open on weekends.
