Overview of Role:
The Wealth Advisor is the primary relationship manager for an assigned group of clients. This person provides financial planning, investment guidance, and proactive client service. The role also includes business development, giving this person a direct role in the firm’s continued success.
Responsibilities
Client Relationships
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients and families.
- Understand each client’s goals, priorities, values, and financial needs.
- Build and maintain trusted, long-term client relationships.
- Lead client review meetings, identifying opportunities for additional planning, investment, and relationship development.
- Coordinate client reports, marketing materials, and other communications
Financial Planning and Investments
- Create, monitor, and update financial plans using firm-approved tools.
- Develop investment recommendations based on client goals, risk tolerance, tax considerations, and Shaker’s investment philosophy.
- Develop asset allocation recommendations and oversee portfolio construction, rebalancing, and risk management in partnership with the Portfolio Management team.
- Educate clients on investment markets, portfolio strategy, and financial planning concepts.
Business Development
- Meet business development goals through new client acquisition, client retention, relationship expansion, and referrals.
- Build relationships with clients, prospects, and centers of influence to enhance the firm's reputation and drive new business opportunities.
- Identify ways to deepen existing client relationships through additional planning, investment, and advisory services.
- Maintain a professional community presence by representing the firm through networking, client events, seminars, and educational presentations.
This role works closely with Portfolio Managers, Operations, Compliance, custodians, and outside professional advisors. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, client-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in an entrepreneurial environment.
Skills
- 5+ years of client-facing wealth management or financial advisory experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required; CFP®, CFA®, CPA, or advanced degree preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Track record of excellent client service and measurable growth.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage time well and prioritize competing responsibilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professionalism, integrity, and discretion with confidential client information.
- Self-starter who can work independently and collaborate within a small team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with HubSpot CRM, Bloomberg, Advent APX, or similar portfolio management systems is preferred.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
