Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the CDL Driver include but are not limited to the following:
Operate Class A truck / trailer through all types of environments, including off road on job sites
Drivers should safely assist crane trucks operators with loading, securing, and rigging within their documented training and assigned responsibilities.
Read and navigate a map
Perform required pre- & post trip vehicle inspections and complete inspection documentation in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations
Understand and adhere to regulations regarding load securement
Secure product on a flatbed trailer without instruction
Transport construction products to job site in a safe and timely manner
Assist and supervise loading of truck to ensure proper order, weight distribution, and securing cargo
Receive from dispatcher delivery ticket for products, directions to job site and any special instructions and follow them to the detail
Maintain complete required accurate duty-status records, DVIR/inspections entries, defect reporting, timely corrections of log issues, delivery documentation and any other required documents according to company policy, state and federal regulations
Build and maintain good customer relationships
Obtain shipping bills and necessary signatures and return completed paperwork to the shipping department
Provide and document proper routine maintenance of assigned truck and loading/unloading equipment
Driver must assess jobsite access, ground conditions, overhead hazards, excavation conditions, etc. and notify Dispatch EHM delivery/unloading cannot be performed safely.
Develop very good knowledge of inventory, sizes, types, colors and pallet packaging
Monitor and immediately report problems with assigned product quality, customer satisfaction and traffic
Immediate reporting of accidents, property damage, cargo damage, near misses injuries, and other safety incidents to Dispatch/Management before leaving the scene, when reasonably possible.
Communication with Dispatch- delays, breakdowns, jobsite problems, customers issues, rejected deliveries, schedule changes etc. should be communicated promptly.
Assist with project work as directed by Supervisor and Department Manager
Comply with all ParkUSA policies, procedures, guidelines.
Must be available to work flexible schedules, including varying start and end times and occasional Saturdays, and adjust to changing operational and customers’ needs. Schedules and routes are subject to change based on business requirements.
Upon completion of delivery assignments, drivers may be required to perform other productive operational duties, including preloading, assisting with loading and rigging, equipment upkeep, yard assistance, and other assigned duties within the employee’s training and qualifications.
Drug and alcohol program participation as required for CDL drivers.
Education, Skills and Experience:
Class A CDL
Maintain valid medical qualification/ licenses/endorsements required for the assigned CMV
High School Diploma or GED
Detailed oriented and good communication skills a plus
Must be at least 25 years of age
Must have a clean driving record under company standards and ability to remain DOT- qualified
Lifting of 50+ lbs. with assistance may be required
Able to read, write and speak in English language

Safety Standards:
All accidents, incidents and near misses must be immediately reported to your supervisor.
All safety and health hazards must be reported to supervisors.
Maintain and utilize all PPE provided.
Attend and participate in all required safety training and meetings.
Learn and comply with all safety rules, policies and regulations applicable to your work.
Work safely in a manner as to ensure your safety as well as the safety of those around you.
