Duties
- Provide expert hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, and special occasion styles tailored to each client’s preferences.
- Perform advanced hair treatments such as coloring, highlights, balayage, and hair extensions using industry best practices.
- Utilize salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and facilitate smooth daily operations.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools, cleaning workstations, and adhering to health regulations.
- Offer personalized consultations on hair care routines, product recommendations, and styling tips to enhance client satisfaction.
- Conduct retail sales of professional hair products, including shampoos, conditioners, styling tools, and accessories through effective upselling techniques.
- Assist with front desk duties such as greeting clients, managing appointment bookings, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or Barbering professional with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse styling techniques.
- Knowledge of color theory and application methods for vibrant coloring and corrective treatments.
- Familiarity with salon management software like MINDBODY for scheduling and client management.
- Skilled in hair extensions application, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application is a plus.
- Experience with sanitation protocols and maintaining a clean work environment in accordance with health standards.
- Excellent communication skills to connect with clients effectively and provide mentoring or guidance to team members when needed.
- Ability to perform retail math for upselling products confidently while delivering exceptional customer service.
