GMI Freight is looking for a reliable, Go-Getter, driver in the Houston area to haul DRY VAN trailers and containers from the port (TWIC is required).
Paying $25/ hour locally with increase after 90 days on loads further than 120 miles. We are a small company so hard workers who are on time will be noticed quickly and we are extremely flexible with our drivers
Driver Pay: On average +/- $1250 per week on normal routes.
Truck Operation: We operate on Mon - Fri with some weekends involved from time to time. Work can start as early as 4AM some days depending on the route. Average length of a normal workday is typically 10-12 hours per day. Will be hauling dry vans and containers to Houston and surrounding major cities.
Home time: Our local drivers are home every night
Lanes: Main lanes are Houston, TX -- Dallas, TX -- Austin, TX -- San Antonio, TX
Requirements:
Class A CDL*
Medical Card*
Must be 25 yrs old due to insurance purposes*
3 Years' Experience due to insurance purposes*
Tanker Endorsement (preferred but NOT required)
TWIC (Required)**
Need to be able to operate a 10 speed transmission**
2 years of Port experience (MUST BE WELL ROUNDED AT THE PORT!)
