About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to become an essential member of our growing longevity medicine team.
This position supports the full spectrum of our medical services, including hormone optimization, physician-supervised medical weight loss, peptide therapy, IV nutrient therapy, laboratory services, regenerative medicine, and preventive health care.
Working alongside our physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, and registered nurse, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while helping patients improve their health, vitality, and quality of life.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both direct patient care and clinical operations and takes pride in creating an outstanding patient experience from start to finish.
Primary Responsibilities/Clinical Patient Care
- Prepare patients for provider visits by obtaining vital signs, body composition measurements, medical histories, and updating medications.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections under provider supervision and within South Carolina scope of practice.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and provider recommendations.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and maintain communication throughout each patient's care.
Laboratory & Clinical Procedures
- Independently perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection.
- Process, package, and ship laboratory specimens according to laboratory protocols.
- Assist with clinical procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain clinical equipment and supplies.
- Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs.
- Maintain OSHA, infection control, and safety standards throughout the practice.
Clinical Operations
- Accurately document patient encounters and clinical information within the EMR.
- Review patient charts prior to appointments.
- Coordinate laboratory orders, referrals, imaging, and diagnostic testing.
- Assist in maintaining efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
- Support the clinical team in delivering an exceptional patient experience.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
