This position is for a Lease Agent in the Reagan Outdoor Advertising, Salt Lake City Office:
Research locations within the department’s plans and negotiate as advantageous leases as possible. Renegotiate existing leases as possible. Renegotiate existing leases upon expiration as advantageously as possible. On a daily basis:
- Locate new sites for outdoor structures
- Contact landowners and negotiate a lease agreement
- Obtain necessary building permits
- Negotiate renewal leases
- Service current lessors
- Learn and keep abreast of zoning codes and maps of the areas covered.
- Respond to lessor problems – roof leaks, paper, check delays, etc. If appropriate, use this time to renegotiate.
- Know on a day-to-day basis the activity in the market; which areas can be developed, which lessors are unhappy, who the competition is calling on, what code changes are on the horizon.
- Negotiate skillfully, from a position of strength but with flexibility. Keep the company’s long term needs in mind throughout negotiations.
- Communicate daily with department manager and other reps concerning progress, problems, ideas, etc.
The Leasing Agent’s function is to negotiate, permit, and renegotiate lease locations and to resolve lessor problems as they arise. Your job performance will be judged on the following:
- How many leases you sign
- How many outdoor advertising structures are successfully built on the lease locations you have signed
- Your ability to renegotiate renewal leases and service current lessors
- The option to purchase health, life and dental insurance for your family.
- Employee is required to pay 30% of premium and the company pays 70%
- Reagan Outdoor has a 401-K plan
- You will receive a car allowance, mileage reimbursement and cellular phone allowance.
