McKinnon's Market & Super Butcher Shop is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Deli / Prepared Foods Clerk to join our team. This position plays an important role in providing outstanding customer service while preparing, merchandising, and maintaining our deli and prepared foods departments.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with deli and prepared food selections.
- Slice meats, cheeses, and other deli products to customer specifications.
- Prepare, package, label, and stock prepared foods and deli items.
- Maintain attractive product displays and ensure proper product rotation.
- Monitor product freshness, quality, and food safety standards.
- Keep work areas, equipment, and displays clean and sanitized.
- Assist with inventory, stocking, and receiving deliveries as needed.
- Follow all company policies and food safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous deli, food service, kitchen, or grocery experience preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable attendance and a positive team-oriented attitude.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
