Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible On-Call Nanny to provide exceptional childcare support for families in need of immediate and reliable assistance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children’s lives by offering attentive, nurturing, and responsible care during on-call hours. The ideal candidate will be proactive, energetic, and passionate about working with children of all ages, including infants and toddlers, while ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Duties
- Respond promptly to on-call requests to care for children in various family settings, including homes and daycare environments
- Provide engaging and age-appropriate activities for children, fostering their development and curiosity
- Ensure the safety of children by adhering to safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, playtime, and educational activities
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children’s needs, behaviors, and daily progress
- Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to children’s comfort and safety
- Be prepared to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, utilizing first aid skills when required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in childcare, babysitting, nannying, or daycare settings
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond quickly in emergencies
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong understanding of toddler care, infant care, and developmental milestones
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with children and families
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to respond to on-call requests at short notice
