Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and be committed to improving the quality of life for individuals through therapeutic interventions. This role involves working with children in a specialized sensory gym.
Responsibilities
- Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' ability to perform daily activities.
- Collaborate with school and other team members.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, goals, and strategies for continued progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with medical standards.
- Stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid NYS licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience with Sensory Processing Disorder.
- Motivated
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to develop comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of each patient, particularly within geriatric populations.
