Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Banquet Captain to join our team, responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of banquets and events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and be able to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring every guest leaves with a positive impression.
Duties:
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of banquets and events, including catering, menu planning, and beverage service.
- Manage kitchen operations, including food production, preparation, and presentation.
- Supervise and train event staff, including cooks, servers, and bartenders.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of event materials and services.
- Assist with budgeting and financial management for events, ensuring costs are kept to a minimum while still providing a high-quality experience.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, catering to their specific needs and preferences.
- Ensure all events meet quality and safety standards, including health and safety regulations.
- Manage shift schedules and personnel for events, ensuring adequate staffing and coverage.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to client inquiries and addressing any issues or concerns.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on banquet and event management.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management and food production.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team, including assistant managers and cooks.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management.
- Familiarity with shift management and scheduling.
- Knowledge of the restaurant industry, including quick service and fast food concepts.
