About the Role
PACLC is seeking flexible and energetic individuals to join our team as Substitute Childcare Teachers to start picking up shifts immediately. In this role, you will step into various classroom settings as needed to support daily activities, foster positive interactions, and ensure a safe and engaging environment for children. We have a new location opening this fall and are looking for a team of substitute teachers to support our 3 Phoenixville centers!

We are seeking flexible and energetic individuals to join our team as Substitute Childcare Teachers, to start picking up shifts immediately. In this role, you will step into various classroom settings on an as-needed basis to support daily activities, foster positive interactions, and ensure a safe and engaging environment for children.
Responsibilities
- Support lead teachers by assisting with classroom routines and activities
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Support the implementation of age-appropriate curriculum activities
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play.
- Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents to promote a positive atmosphere.
- Follow all safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and age groups as needed.
Basic Information about Phoenixville Area Children's Learning Centers
- Our hours are 6:30am-6:00pm, shifts can be partial or full days as needed
- We have 3 centers in Phoenixville, ~1 mile apart
- We care for children from infancy through pre-kindergarten
- Shifts can be scheduled in advance, but sometimes will be posted the night before or even day of
- A required 1-hour orientation before your first shift, and any required training is paid.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience working with children preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Reliable, adaptable, and professional
- Must meet all background check and state licensing requirements: FBI Fingerprinting, PA Background Check, PA Child Abuse Clearance, NSOR Clearance
