Under direction of the General Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating production activities required to fabricate and temper glass. He or she makes sure that production proceeds smoothly and stays within budget.
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be
assigned)
1. Manages the activities of the shop floor.
2. Supervises the shop floor through 1 st , 2 nd and 3rd shift shift production
supervisors.
3. Plans, schedules and coordinates departmental activities to fulfill sales
orders, meet inventory requirements and deliver manufactured products in
a timely manner.
4. Oversees training of employees, departmentally and individually
5. Ensures effective employee relations.
6. Provides employee coaching and development.
7. Makes employment decisions.
8. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
9. Works to continuously improve in all areas.
10. Maintains proper inventory levels.
11. Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management
