Job Overview
Caregivers Inn is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medication Aide/Caregiver to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing quality care to our residents, ensuring they receive their medications safely and effectively. This position requires a strong understanding of care giving principles, particularly in senior care settings, and the ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents according to prescribed schedules and protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation for all administered medications.
- Assist with tube feeding and other specialized care as needed.
- Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding residents' health status and medication needs.
- Provide support in daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and safety of residents.
- Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety in all caregiving practices.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in care giving or senior care is preferred.
- Knowledge of physiology and medical terminology is beneficial.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate medication administration.
- Ability to work compassionately with elderly individuals, demonstrating patience and empathy.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
