Job Title: Laundry Attendant
Summary: Oversees hotel laundry by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Separates linens throughout the day.
- Launders linens per industry standards.
- Separates and pre treats stained linens as per standards.
- Maintains cleanliness of machines.
- Responsible for monitoring chemical levels for machine operation.
- Empties dryer vents.
- Fold linens per folding standard. Makes necessary bedding sets as required. Makes necessary bedding bag sets as required.
- Maintains inventory of all linen. Maintains inventory of stained linen.
- Cleans laundry room.
Laundry Person Daily Tasks
- Check with Front Desk and supply linens used up in the night before
- Check the detergent levels in the chemical buckets before turning the washers on.
- Check all pipes for leakage and report to Maintenance if any leak found.
- Check dryers and washers for any apparent required maintenance.
- Clean the Linen Chute.
- Clean the floor.
- Clean washers and dryers.
- Wipe the interior walls of the dryer.
- Remove the lint from the dryers
- Wash, Dry, Fold and stock linens
- Keep the storage area well maintained and organized according to labels and standards.
- Maintain Linen Discard records.
- Keep the Laundry Room clean from lint
- Clean the dryer exhaust fan located in the front of the building.
- Clean the room behind the dryer.
- Clean the mop sink and the washing sink.
- Shine the sink faucets.
- Clean the surfaces, shelves and bins.
- Clean the windows.
- Count and record all linen and terry on the Linen Inventory Sheet.
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
