We believe culinary excellence is a vital part of a child's education, and we are looking for someone who can share that love.Role - A culinary team member will be essential in opening the kitchen, organizing their time, preparing and serving food, cleaning and maintaining their workspace, closing the kitchen, and providing a comfortable and interactive environment for the students and faculty. Quality, flexibility, and compassion are paramount as you work closely with fellow team members, staff, students, and parents.Required Tasks:
- Be accessible and friendly to students and staffs at all time. Extra positive interactions encouraged
- Open and set up kitchen and equipment
- Receives and puts away deliveries and stores items per guidelines and requirements
- Prep, produce, and cook food according to production lists, completing within timelines
- Adheres to all food safety and sanitation standards
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks in timely matter while following all portion and nutrition guidelines and ensuring food is fresh, hot, attractive, and delicious.
- Ability to meet deadlines and finish tasks when required
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food handling procedures
- Dishes, clean up, and light maintenance of kitchen. Properly close down kitchen at end of day
- Courtesy and respect with fellow staff, students, and guests at all times.
What we are looking for in a candidate:
- 2+ years of food service experience preferred.
- Exceptional communication and customer facing skills.
- Flexibility and comfortability in a busy environment with children.
- Able to work independently and stay on task.
- Be able to lift 40 Lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.
- Dependabilty and Punctuality.
- Able to follow all safe food handling requirements and guidelines.
- Successfully pass a background check.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $18-$24/hr
- No weekends.
