At Cutting Dynamics, LLC (part of Re:Build Manufacturing) in Avon, OH, you’ll spend your evenings transforming raw stock into precision aerospace components on vertical and horizontal CNC mills. Your shift runs 2:15-10:45PM, five days a week, with overtime available when production ramps.
- Set up the CNC mill, load material, call up programs/offsets, and run both production and one-off jobs.
- Follow the Process Routing Document (PRD), perform in-process inspections to spec, and clearly record results.
- Handle hands-on finishing, including manual deburring, as needed to meet finish and feature requirements.
- Complete required reports and documentation; manage assigned records as the record owner.
- Collaborate with supervisors, quality, and fellow operators to resolve machining or quality challenges.
- Care for the equipment with daily maintenance and keep the cell safe, organized, and clean before you clock out.
- Safeguard company, customer, and supplier property—electronic, intellectual, and physical—at all times.
- Adhere to our Quality Management System procedures, work instructions, and forms.
- 1–3 years of vertical/horizontal CNC milling experience.
- Willingness to work 2nd shift (5-day work week, 8-hour shifts, 2:15-10:45PM).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Blueprint literacy and confident use of calipers, height gauges, and micrometers.
- Solid fundamentals in drilling, turning, and tapping; familiarity with both vertical and horizontal machines.
- Bridgeport experience preferred.
- Proven inspection competence and solid basic math.
- Mechanical and technical aptitude; fluent written and spoken English.
