Master’s Degree from an accredited university required; valid Texas licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Master Social Worker, Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist required
Valid Texas licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Master Social Worker, Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist required
Minimum three years experience working with children and youth in a special education setting; experience in an urban school setting and/or in a multicultural education environment preferred
Extensive knowledge and experience with evidence-based interventions
Demonstrated ability of special education principles, theories, and laws (federal and state)
Ability to resolve logistical and operational problems; make data driven decisions
Keep and compile records and develop detailed reports
Maintain and establish effective working relationships with parents and school personnel
Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, work ethic, and a collaborative work style
Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
