NURSE PRACTITIONER OR PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT FOR INTERNAL MEDICINE PRACTICE
AFTER HOURS MONDAY - FRIDAY 5PM-9PM
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES ESSENTIAL DUTIES
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our internal medicine practice for after-hours patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated provider looking for a flexible evening schedule in a supportive outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Provide same-day and after-hours urgent care for established patients.
- Perform physical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies as appropriate.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations.
- Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate with the supervising physician and office staff to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of California.
- DEA registration and prescribing privileges.
- Experience at least 1 year in internal medicine, family medicine, urgent care, or primary care preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the physician as needed.

NPI
Preferred Language: English, Spanish is a plus but not required.
