Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time, in-office basis. This role is vital for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the ongoing financial health of our organization. Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleanup of existing financial records, ensuring all accounts are accurate and up-to-date
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations using software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems
- Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and balance sheets regularly to maintain financial integrity
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations
- Handle accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and vendor payments
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and other management reports
- Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions following GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, Quicken, and other financial systems
- Familiarity with governmental accounting practices and non-profit accounting is a plus
- Solid understanding of payroll processing, tax regulations, account reconciliation, and bank statement analysis
- Ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently along with attention to detail in account analysis and journal entries
- Strong grasp of financial concepts including debits & credits, general ledger accounting, and budgeting processes
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
