What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or public agency contacts.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter locations, with attention to unusual activity and access control concerns.

Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and/or public access points to help to deter unauthorized activity, enforce post orders, and support compliance with location rules and regulations.

Assist with emergency situations, customer interactions, and/or requests for assistance while maintaining a professional presence and supporting coordinated response with law enforcement and/or first responders when needed.
Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.

Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.

Be at least 21 years of age.

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
