Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver who has flexible availability and can work different shifts to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various caregiving techniques, including memory care and patient monitoring. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Provide memory care support for clients with cognitive impairments, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
- Conduct patient observation to assess emotional and physical well-being, documenting any significant changes.
- Assist with mobility and lifting of clients as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a trusting relationship with clients.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Support hospice care initiatives by providing compassionate end-of-life care when necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living or caregiving roles is preferred, at least 1 to 2 years.
- Must be flexible and have ample availability to work.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques and patient monitoring practices is essential.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Ability to lift clients safely and provide physical assistance as required.
- Strong observational skills for effective patient monitoring.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and family members.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not mandatory.
