Duties
- Greet clients warmly and efficiently check in and out pets for appointments, surgeries, or boarding
- Manage veterinary software systems for scheduling, record-keeping, and billing processes
- Handle medical collections accurately in accordance with clinic policies and regulations
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet health, treatment plans, and follow-up care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of front desk area, treatment rooms, and laboratory spaces
- Support veterinary team during surgeries or critical care procedures with animal restraint and preparation
Requirements
- Proven experience as a veterinary receptionist or administrative support within a veterinary clinic environment
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, medical-surgical procedures, and companion animal medicine
- Familiarity with veterinary software programs and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with dog handling, animal restraint techniques, and basic animal husbandry practices
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures, animal anatomy, aseptic techniques, and drug regulations (DEA & USDA)
