Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage all aspects of patient check-in and check-out processes with energetic professionalism
- Explain treatment plans clearly, answer patient questions, and ensure understanding of procedures and financial options
- Coordinate appointments efficiently using patient management software and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems
- Verify insurance benefits, process claims, and communicate coverage details to patients while maintaining strict confidentiality of health information
- Support medical administrative tasks such as data entry, document management, and maintaining accurate patient records in compliance with health regulation policies
- Facilitate communication between patients and dental providers via phone, email, or in person to ensure smooth scheduling and follow-up care
- Assist with billing procedures, payment plans, and financial arrangements to enhance patient satisfaction and practice revenue
Experience
- Proven experience working in a medical or dental office environment with a strong understanding of healthcare procedures and terminology
- Familiarity with patient management software, EMR/EHR systems, and Microsoft Office applications for documentation and communication purposes
- Knowledge of health insurance policies, benefits verification, claims processing, and maintaining compliance with health regulation policies
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and client interactions while maintaining professionalism under pressure
- Prior experience supporting medical administrative functions such as appointment scheduling, billing support, or insurance coordination is highly preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy dental practice setting
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality according to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) standards
