Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality specifications
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Execute food preparation tasks efficiently during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food with attention to detail and consistency
- Use knife skills and culinary techniques to enhance dish presentation and flavor profiles
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow, cleanliness, and organization in the food prep area
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments demonstrating strong food handling skills
- Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety regulations
- Proven cooking skills with the ability to prepare a variety of dishes efficiently
- Experience in food industry roles such as catering or serving is advantageous
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
