As a kitchen porter you will be required to complete the menial tasks in a kitchen including duties such as cleaning, washing up and basic food preparation.

Wash pots, pans and utensils

Daily clean of kitchen areas

Deep clean of kitchen equipment

Keep storage areas neat and tidy

Keep refrigeration and freezers organized

Report failing equipment to Supervisor

Report Health and Safety hazards to Supervisor

Communicate effectively with staff

Unloading equipment and food from deliveries.

Accept training to enable safe completion of duties

Carry out other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

This position demands the Kitchen Porter to be physically strong and healthy as the work can involve carrying heavy and big kitchen wares.

A Kitchen Porter must be able to handle the pressure to maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and is meticulous enough to achieve the cleanliness standard.
