Minimum Qualifications: Hiring subject to applicable URJ and Pennsylvania State background checks.
Calm under pressure with a proven track record of excellent organizational and communications skills; comfort in managing multiple projects with and for multiple stakeholders. Able to actively look after ones’ own physical and mental health, and advocate for own needs. Comfort with and ability to learn new technology. Prior experience working with elementary and middle school-age children in a formal or informal setting. Supervisory experience is preferred. Must be a registered nurse or LPN licensed in the State of Pennsylvania or able to obtain PA license, be able to demonstrate flexibility, manage multiple responsibilities at once, and work as part of a team. Residential positions prioritized; open to local commuter positions. Love and/or respect for The Arts and a diverse community is a must.

Responsibilities
JEWISH
- Actively participate and demonstrate respect for ritual moments in conjunction with URJ practices, including Israel (your personal beliefs are also respected)
- Incorporate core values and summer theme in meaningful and appropriate ways
- Promote shmirat haGuf – the health of our bodies – as a key concept in camp
- Serve as a positive (Jewish) role model
ARTS
- Support campers in their skills training and artistic growth
CAMP
Medical Care
Partner with the Camp Director, Assistant Camp Director, and Health and Wellness Director to oversee camper and staff health and wellness throughout the summer
- Perform health checks on opening days and assist with any necessary treatment
- Follow all health standard and local operating procedures, standing physician orders
- Verify and dispense daily medications
- Care for sick or injured campers daily, responding to emergencies and routine health care needs (triage, assessment, treatment)
Administration
- Coordinate with Summer Operations Director and Health and Wellness Director on supplies needed to fill the health center and maintain accurate inventory
- Keep and maintain all health records in good order, updating them as needed. Keep a permanent log of evaluations in CampMinder immediately after treatments
- Periodic transportation of campers to MD and ER as needed
- Package and organize any trip meds (regular and PRN) and for closing day
Communication
- Communicate with campers’ parents about health concerns as requested by the Camp Director or Health and Wellness Director
- Communicate with the Artistic Director, Residential Life Staff, and Community Care Director about medical issues impacting their campers as appropriate
- Maintain strict confidentiality of staff, camper, and family information
- Actively participate and encourage others in camp activities
- Contribute to the overall positive morale of the camp community
