Position Overview
The Human Resources Coordinator serves as a key support partner to leadership, employees, and department directors by ensuring smooth and compliant HR operations across the community. Reporting directly to the Administrator and working collaboratively with the Business Office Manager and department leaders, this role supports recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and workforce engagement.

Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Coordinate and support full-cycle recruitment efforts
- Post and manage job advertisements across hiring platforms
- Screen applications and schedule candidate interviews
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation processes for new hires
- Ensure all employment documentation and credentialing requirements are completed accurately
Employee Records & HR Administration
- Maintain confidential employee personnel records and HR documentation
- Process employee status changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations
- Monitor licensing, certifications, training compliance, and required renewals
- Support HRIS and workforce management system accuracy
Payroll & Timekeeping Support
- Manage payroll preparation and timecard verification
- Collaborate with payroll and department leaders to ensure timely and accurate processing
- Respond professionally to employee payroll and scheduling inquiries
Benefits & Employee Support
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and changes
- Support open enrollment communication and documentation
- Provide guidance regarding available benefit programs and resources
Compliance & Workforce Development
- Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
- Support OSHA, workers’ compensation, FMLA, and training compliance initiatives
- Assist with audits, surveys, and regulatory documentation preparation
- Coordinate employee trainings and educational initiatives
Employee Relations & Culture
- Promote a positive and engaging workplace culture
- Assist with employee recognition and appreciation initiatives
- Serve as a professional and approachable HR resource for staff
- Support conflict resolution and employee communication efforts
General Administrative Support
- Coordinate HR meetings, orientations, and trainings
- Maintain HR policies, forms, and department documentation
- Manage HR correspondence, phone communication, and scheduling
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum of two (2) years of human resources or administrative experience involving employee interaction and problem-solving
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience within healthcare, assisted living, or senior living environments
- Familiarity with Kronos or UKG workforce management systems
- Knowledge of HR practices, payroll processes, and employment law compliance
Schedule & Physical Requirements
- Full-time, 40-hour workweek
- Flexible scheduling between 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Every other Sunday required for payroll processing support
- Position requires prolonged periods of sitting
