Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal specializing in Domestic Litigation and Family Law to join our legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting attorneys through comprehensive legal research, document management, and client communication. Your expertise will help ensure smooth case progression and efficient handling of family law matters. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex cases involving divorce, child custody, alimony, and other family-related legal issues while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case preparation by conducting legal research.
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence with clients and courts.
- Manage case files and ensure all case information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Support litigation processes by organizing exhibits, reviewing documents for relevance and accuracy, and preparing trial binders.
- Conduct client interviews to gather pertinent information related to family law cases, ensuring clear communication and thorough documentation.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing documents with courts, data entry, scheduling appointments, and maintaining procedural law compliance.
- Collaborate with attorneys on complex issues and attend court appearances when necessary to support the attorney during hearings and trials.
Skills
- Proven experience supporting family law cases with strong knowledge of procedural law and litigation processes is preferred, though we are willing to train the right candidate who only lacks experience in family law.
- Proficiency and familiarity with legal writing and drafting standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration within a team environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis), and document processing systems.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $62,500.00 per year
