Job Title: TeleOps Operator
Location: Foster City, CA
Duration: 12 Months contract (possible extension)
Desired Candidate Profile:
The TeleOps Operator is a multi-skilled position responsible for testing and operating the remote monitoring and control systems for Zoox’s autonomous vehicles. This role supports vehicle operations, testing initiatives, and mission-critical activities while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment alongside multiple cross-functional teams.
We are seeking proactive, positive, and team-oriented individuals who are motivated to learn and contribute to the future of autonomous transportation.
Compensation
Second and Third Shift: Eligible for a shift premium of approximately 5–10% (final shift differential to be confirmed).
Note: Shift premium will be added after you pass training and all required tests, approximately 7–8 weeks after starting.
Shift differentials become effective upon successful completion of training.
Key Responsibilities
Effectively monitor autonomous vehicle operations.
Respond to and manage critical mission needs.
Assist the fleet of vehicles by providing remote guidance in complex situations.
Support testing and data collection efforts.
Work closely with Software Engineering, QA, and UX teams to improve the TeleOps interface.
Work flexible shifts as needed.
Qualifications
Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Pass a background check, MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) review, and drug screening.
Comply with the Zoox Substance Abuse Policy.
Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
2–3 years of experience in operations or another fast-paced environment.
Strong computer skills and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Positive attitude and growth mindset.
Driving License is must
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the autonomous vehicle industry.
Proficiency with Windows 10.
Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Analytics, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Software/QA testing.
Basic QA testing experience.
Video gaming experience.
Pay: $29.00 per hour
