Position Overview
We are seeking Gold Brokers / Precious Metals Specialist to join our team. This role requires a confident, detail-oriented professional who can accurately evaluate precious metals and fine jewelry while delivering an elevated, concierge-level customer experience.
You will serve as both an appraiser and client advisor—ensuring every transaction reflects our standards of excellence, discretion, and fairness.
Key Responsibilities
- Professionally evaluate and authenticate gold, silver, diamonds, fine jewelry, coins, and estate pieces
- Perform precise testing using industry-standard tools (XRF analyzer, acid testing, precision scales, gemstone verification tools)
- Provide fair, market-based valuations aligned with real-time precious metal pricing
- Present and communicate purchase offers with clarity, confidence, and professionalism
- Negotiate high-value transactions with discretion and integrity
- Deliver a white-glove client experience in a secure, upscale retail environment
- Maintain accurate documentation of all acquisitions and client interactions
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations for precious metals transactions
- Safeguard all inventory and cash-handling procedures with strict attention to security protocols
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in luxury retail, pawn, jewelry appraisal, or precious metals buying preferred
- Strong understanding of gold purity, weight valuation, and market pricing (training available for the right candidate)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, professional demeanor
- High level of integrity, discretion, and trustworthiness
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced, high-value transaction environment
- Sales or negotiation experience in a premium or client-facing setting is a plus
