POSITION OVERVIEW:
Juniper Haven is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant (MA) to join our multidisciplinary team. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the healthcare needs of our adolescent clients under the supervision of our healthcare professional. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young women struggling with mental health challenges.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provides comprehensive, evidence-based care to adolescents in a mental health residential treatment center
· Complies with all Federal, State, and Company policies and requirements
· Completes nursing physical assessments within 24 hours of admission for new clients
· Generates a Medication Administration Record and other appropriate medical forms for all new clients
· Maintains accuracy and updates on client MARs
· Take and record vital signs, administer first aid as well as other nursing interventions as needed
· Works directly with and implements orders from the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
· Works directly with local company pharmacy
· Monitors inventory of supplies, equipment, and/or medications to meet client needs
· Educates and assists clients in self-care and hygiene activities as needed
· Communicates with clients’ family/guardians when necessary, regarding individual client health plans
· Ensures the exchange of essential information among the multidisciplinary team
· Maintains all documentation as required by company policy
· Responsible for consistently exercising good judgment and adequate emotional stability in evaluating situations and making decisions despite the pressures of deadlines or the occurrence of unexpected stressful events.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Either an active license to practice as a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) in the state of Utah
or a
current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
· Current CPR / First Aid certification
· Pass a background check
· Driver’s license
· Prior experience working in a healthcare setting
· Understanding of computer technology including electronic health record (EHR) systems
· Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
· Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience working in a residential or mental health treatment facility
· Knowledge of adolescent development and mental health disorders.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
