Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team at Golden Age Nursing Home. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, with a strong understanding of menu planning and food preparation. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our residents while adhering to dietary department standards and maintaining high-quality food safety practices.
Duties
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and kitchen protocols.
- Work closely with dietary aides to accommodate special dietary needs of residents.
Skills
- Familiarity with dietary department standards and menu planning processes.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
