Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Park West Integrative Psychiatry | Upper West Side, New York City
Join a growing Upper West Side psychiatry practice offering close clinical mentorship, paid training in integrative trauma treatment, and substantial opportunity for professional growth. Outstanding recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply, and current PMHNP students graduating in 2027 are also welcome to reach out about future opportunities.
I am a Columbia-trained adult and child psychiatrist who has spent my career in academic psychiatry while becoming increasingly interested in how evidence-based integrative approaches can deepen our understanding of trauma and healing.
Over the past several years, I have trained in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Breath-Body-Mind, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, and other approaches that complement traditional psychiatric care. Rather than leaving mainstream psychiatry behind, my goal has been to integrate the best of academic medicine with approaches that recognize the importance of psychotherapy, nervous system regulation, relationships, and meaning in healing.
This journey led me to create the Developing Meaning podcast and to found Park West Integrative Psychiatry, a growing outpatient practice on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
The Opportunity
Our practice combines thoughtful psychopharmacology and psychotherapy with integrative approaches to trauma treatment. Current areas of interest include EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Breath-Body-Mind, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.
Prior experience in these modalities is not required. We are committed to investing in the development of the right clinician. The practice will provide and pay for training in integrative, trauma-focused treatment modalities, along with ongoing clinical supervision and mentorship.
Above all, I'm looking for someone who is curious, intellectually engaged, kind, emotionally mature, loves learning, welcomes mentorship and feedback, and sees becoming an exceptional clinician as a lifelong journey.
As the practice grows, we also hope to develop psychotherapy groups, educational offerings, and a community of clinicians committed to lifelong learning. There will be opportunities to help shape this growth based on your interests and strengths.
Who We're Looking For
- Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), or completing PMHNP training and eligible for New York licensure
- Interested in both psychopharmacology and psychotherapy
- Curious about trauma and integrative approaches to treatment
- Values thoughtful, relationship-centered psychiatric care
- Welcomes supervision, feedback, and collaboration
- Interested in developing meaningful relationships with patients rather than practicing high-volume medication management
We particularly enjoy mentoring early-career clinicians, and outstanding recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Compensation & Professional Development
During the initial caseload-building period, compensation is $75/hour, with paid administrative time and supervision.
Once an established caseload is reached, compensation transitions to a percentage-of-collected-revenue model with significant upside as the practice grows. Expected annual compensation at an established caseload is approximately $108,000–$180,000+, depending on clinical volume.
The practice will also provide and pay for training in integrative trauma-treatment modalities and provide ongoing clinical supervision and mentorship.
