We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bakery Associate to support daily operations, customer service, and closing procedures. We take pride in our product and our space, cleanliness and presentation matter.
This is a closing shift role. Weekend and evening availability is required. Will train in Evans but will move to Augusta Location
Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly, efficient customer service and assist guests with cheesecake selection.
- Welcome and identify customer needs
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Restock display cases and monitor product levels throughout shift
- Prepare assorted grab-and-go items and monitor and replenish inventory as needed
- Take and process orders over the phone
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Handle cash and maintain accurate drawer balances
- Perform full closing duties including:
- Cleaning display cases and trays
- Sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
- Taking out trash and resetting the store for the next day
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service or food service experience preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Reliable and punctual, especially for closing shifts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing light physical tasks
- Ability to follow instructions and standard procedures
- Must be 18 years or older to apply
Experience:
- Previous experience in a bakery or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of basic math for cash handling
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations
- Strong customer service skills to provide a positive experience for customers
- Basic food preparation and handling knowledge
