Job Summary
The Interventional Radiology Technologist II, under general supervision of a Radiologist, performs interventional radiology (IR) procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols.
Qualifications
Education
- Required
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Graduate from an approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Science, or related
Experience:
- Preferred
- One or more years of experience in clinical Radiology
Certification/Licensure:
Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date
- Current, Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Must obtain within one (1) year of start date
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
- Must obtain within one (1) year of start date
- Medical Radiologic Technology (MRT) License from the State of Texas
- The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Certification in Radiography R.T.(R)
- The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Certification in Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI)
- Must obtain within one (1) year of start date
- For team members currently employed in the IR Tech position who are transitioning to IR Tech II alignment with program start or hired into the IR Tech II position prior to 9/1/2026, must obtain VI registry within three (3) years of IR Tech II position start date. 9/2/2026 and beyond hired/transfers/etc. will have two (2) years to obtain VI registry without exception.
