Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Internal Medicine Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews, to establish accurate diagnoses.
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions through evidence-based treatment plans, including medication administration, IV infusion, and pain management strategies.
- Perform specialized procedures such as dermal fillers, suturing, phlebotomy, spinal taps, and airway management to support diverse clinical needs.
- Utilize EMR systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters, data collection, and medical records management.
- Collaborate with specialists in cardiology, infectious disease care, oncology, geriatrics, and other disciplines to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in clinical research trials and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives aligned with hospital standards and NCQA guidelines.
- Provide telehealth consultations and triage services to extend access to care beyond traditional settings while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Assist in discharge planning, post-acute care coordination, and hospice & palliative medicine services to optimize patient recovery pathways.
- Support hospital operations by managing ICU and Level I & II trauma center cases, including ventilator management and critical care interventions.
Experience
- Proven hospital experience with a strong background in internal medicine or medical-surgical units.
- Critical care experience including ICU or Level I & II trauma center exposure is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with procedures such as catheterization (cardiac or urological), spinal taps, dermabrasion, esthetic laser treatments, and radiation therapy is preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR systems like Epic or Cerner; experience with ICD-9/10 coding and CPT coding for accurate medical billing is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in acute pain management, infectious disease care, dialysis procedures, and ventilator management within a hospital setting.
- Knowledge of public health principles, infection control protocols, and occupational health practices is advantageous.
- Experience conducting clinical trials or participating in research initiatives enhances your candidacy.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, medical terminology comprehension, anatomy knowledge, pathology understanding, and diagnostic evaluation are required for success in this role.
