The Street Transportation Department, Design and Construction Management Division is seeking to fill multiple Senior Construction Inspector positions.
The Essential Functions associated with the Senior Construction Inspector is to monitor and perform inspections associated with Capital Improvement Projects including traffic signals, streets, alleys, water and sewer lines, irrigation facilities and storm drain installation, as well as permitted construction within the public right-of-way for compliance with standard MAG details, City of Phoenix Supplemental details to MAG, project specifications, and approved plans.
Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

Keeping accurate daily reports as records for reference when documenting construction project progress.

Verifying and using mathematical calculations to determine quantities for payment purposes.

Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications for construction inspection purposes.

Scheduling for testing of materials.

Monitoring job safety conditions and traffic control.

Reviewing plans and project specifications for constructability.

Identifying potential conflicts.

Making independent decisions in accordance with construction plans, specifications, City policies and procedures.
