Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Status: Part-Time
Starting Wage: $15.00/hour
Purpose Statement
Environmental Services Staff are responsible for the repair, maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of assigned school and/or district facilities and grounds. The mission of this position is to maintain the physical facility in a condition of cleanliness and safety.
Essential Functions
- Cleans, dusts, and polishes cabinets, furniture, and woodwork following safety and infection control protocols
- Cleans hallways, offices, restrooms, and common areas, including floors, walls, doors, windows, and fixtures
- Empties and cleans waste receptacles; vacuums floors; assists with moving furniture and equipment as needed
- Disinfects and sanitizes areas; stocks and refills restroom dispensers with paper, soap, and sanitary products
- Selects proper cleaning materials and supplies; reads and follows safety data sheets and product directions
- Maintains hard surface floors and carpets, including sweeping, mopping, and operating floor equipment as trained
- Reports equipment malfunctions and supply needs to the Environmental Services Manager/Supervisor
- Assists with building security by locking doors and gates at the end of the workday
- Performs other related duties as assigned to support the safe and effective operation of the facility
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Job-related experience preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with district policy
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Physically able to walk, stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly (occasionally up to 100 lbs)
- Basic knowledge of computers and standard cleaning equipment
- Successful completion of required background check and drug testing
